Industry giant Royal Caribbean announced about it's switching to e-tickets as the default option at its three North American brands -- Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises.
The company says that, effective for bookings made on or after Dec. 13, passengers on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships who still want a paper ticket will have to pay a $35 fee. The fee will be waived for Azamara bookings.
Until now, Royal Caribbean has offered customers the option of using e-tickets but has not penalized those who have chosen to stick with paper tickets.
