Kate Winslet Worth £60 Million - Britain's Third Highest Paid CelebrityKate Winslet may have just nabbed her first Oscar and co-starred in the biggest film of all time but now Kate Winslet can be proud to say that she comes with a price tag... £60 million to be exact.

Well, that's her apparent worth to the British economy, according to the UK Film Council, after Kate Winslet became the first actor to be "audited". In a bid to develop a formula for assessing the value of a "creative person", the Film Council turned to the 34-year-old because of she has a strong track record and is well known abroad.

Known as the 'Winslet algorithm' (how catchy is that?), the audit assessed salaries, profile and "box-office effect" on tourism and entertainment sales to find the figure. It may now be used to work out the value of other famous faces, including The Dark Knight star Christian Bale and current 007, Daniel Craig.

Winslet is currently Britain's third-highest paid actor - earning £6 million for Finding Neverland - with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and Hugh Grant earning £8.2 million and £7.5 million respectively for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Two Weeks Notice.
